Part of the Kick-off Concert

Wednesday, April 5 at 7:30 p.m.

The Boise State Vocal Jazz Ensemble is a group of select singers accompanied by piano, bass, guitar, and drums.  They meet once a week to study and perform America’s original musical art form; jazz.  For more than 20 years, the group has performed musical styles ranging from Latin beats to swing, from sensitive ballads to the blues.

The ensemble is a recognized club of the Associated Students of BSU and each year they sponsor and produce the Bosie State Vocal Jazz Festival, which provides educational and musical experiences for up to 30 junior high and high school jazz choirs from Idaho and the surrounding states.

The BSU Vocal Jazz ensemble has performed at the Sun Valley Jazz Jamboree and was selected as one of the outstanding college choirs at the University of Idaho Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival.
